Construction on Chauncey Avenue Update
The City of Toronto will begin road resurfacing (half of the road width) on Chauncey Avenue from Islington Avenue to Shawbridge Road as part of the Watermain and Sanitary Replacement project. This work is expected to begin on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 and will continue until October 1, 2014.
The road resurfacing work will occur in two phases:
· Phase 1 will include Chauncey Avenue between Islington Ave. and Northrop Rd. And take approximately one week
· Phase 2 will occur after Phase 1 is completed and will include Chauncey Ave. between Northrop Rd and Shawbridge Rd for approximately 2 weeks
Parking Restrictions and Access
The Road Resurfacing work will require the temporary closure of Chauncey Ave. throughout the entire construction period. On-street parking within the vicinity of the workzone will be restricted. The City of Toronto notice advised that if you park in a no parking area, and ticketed, the ticket will stand regardless of the road construction i.e. No Stopping, No Standing, Stopping on Sidewalks, Fire Hydrants etc.
Customers will continue to have access to our building however, periodic delays can be expected and we appreciate your patience during this 3 – 4 week road resurfacing period

JobStart has received notification by the City of Toronto - Water Department that the City of Toronto will be replacing watermains and sewers. The City of Toronto – Water Department’s notification states the work will take place on Chauncey Avenue from Islington Avenue to Shawbridge Avenue from March 2014 to December 2014.
JobStart’s programs and services will be fully operational during the duration of the City of Toronto Watermain and Sanitary Sewer Replacement project.
Due to Chauncey Ave. being under construction, to access JobStart from Islington, take Bering Ave., turn left onto Shawbridge Ave., turn left onto Chauncey Ave. (view map) https://www.google.ca/#q=41+chauncey+ave+etobicoke
Parking at the front of 41 Chauncey Avenue may be affected from time to time.
