Lucy Coschignano is the President and Chair of JobStart’s Board of Directors. Lucy has been an active member of JobStart’s Board since 2005. Lucy most recently held the position of Vice President, Service Excellence supporting national small business commercial insurance programs at Aon Risk Services, Inc. Previously, Lucy worked at GE Money as a Senior Business Development Manager for their credit card business. Lucy has spent the majority of her career in various capacities working in the financial services sector supporting small and medium sized enterprises for Chase Paymentech Canada, Scotiabank and Canada Trust. Lucy has an MBA in Finance and Marketing. She has many years of volunteer service experience having volunteered for the Red Cross, The Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and she is currently a volunteer on the Board of Directors of Volunteer Builders.
Jacqueline Esler is the Vice President of JobStart’s Board of Directors. Jacqueline joined the JobStart board in 2007. She is a lawyer who is interested in disability law, human rights and mental health advocacy. Jacqueline has many years of experience volunteering for Hospice Toronto.

Jessica Ng joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in June 2012 and assumed the role of Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.   Jessica is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience in securities regulation, audit, assurance and transaction advisory. Jessica is currently at the Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”), as an accountant in the Corporate Finance Branch. Prior to joining OSC, Jessica held the positions of Manager at Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice providing mergers and acquisitions advisory services and of Senior Accountant at Deloitte’s Assurance and Advisory practice providing audit services. For many years, Jessica has been a tax-clinic volunteer assisting low-income individuals and seniors with filing income tax returns. Jessica has also devoted many years of volunteer experience with various hospitals and nursing homes.

Christine Sibley joined JobStart’s Board of Directors on June 8 2011 and will assume the role of Secretary. Christine holds the position of Director, Human Resources for De Beers Canada Inc. and brings with her over 20 years of experience working in Human Resources. Her background includes managing a broad spectrum of Human Resource functions including: Compensation, Benefits, Labour/Employee Relations, Organizational Development, Recruitment, Selection, Talent Management and Succession Planning. Christine is a member of the HRPA and past board member of Catholic Settlement House-Day Nursery.

Ele (Eleanor) Pawelski joined JobStart’s Board of Directors in June 2012. Ele is a qualified lawyer, holds a Masters in Public International Law, and has traveled to more than 50 countries. Currently, Ele is an organizational management consultant in the nonprofit sector and recently joined the United Way to give pro-bono advice to member agencies. Prior to her consulting work, Ele managed access to justice and human rights projects in developing countries.  Ele has published articles on transitional justice and legal aid in Afghanistan, informal justice and gender violence in Africa.  She has also written case studies and advocacy strategies on international human rights to train paralegals, teachers, advocates, youth.  Currently, she writes Raising the Roof’s Housing Again ebulletin.

Kathryn Minialoff joined the Board in 2004 and has served on the Finance Committee since 2002. Kathryn has her own accounting practice providing bookkeeping/accounting and personal tax services to a variety of companies. She was previously a senior manager with Deloitte in the small business area for 8 years.

Teresa Howe joined the Board in October 2012.  As an HR executive with over 25 years of generalist experience, Teresa has held senior positions in International companies, such as AIG/ BI&I, IAPA and Chubb Insurance. Teresa currently consults at apt talent partners, inc. in both Canada and in the United Kingdom.

Kate Nourbakhsh joined the JobStart board in May 2009. She has an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing and is a software engineer with over 6 years of experience in software, telecommunications and finical service industries. She is currently working at TD Bank Financial Group. Kate is also a mentor for new immigrants supporting TRIEC (Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council), and actively volunteers for various charity events (Daily Bread, United Way, Dress Your Best, Schulich Women in Leadership, and Heart and Stroke Foundation).
Norman Woo joined JobStart as a Board Member in 2010. He is currently Director, Corporate Development for Manulife Financial Corporation. Previously he was a Senior Manager in the Transaction and Restructuring Advisory practice of KPMG LLP where he provided valuations, corporate finance and financial reporting services to public and private companies, as well as the public sector. Norman graduated from the University of Waterloo, where he completed both an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics and a Master of Accounting. Norman is a Chartered Accountant in Canada and a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Business Valuator designations.
Sourabh Indu joined JobStart’s Board of Directors on June 8 2011. Sourabh has ten years experience leading Finance, Technology and Project/Business Management teams in financial services and insurance industries. He has achieved an MBA (with distinction) from Schulich School of Business with a focus on Finance and Strategic Management. Sourabh is currently Director, Business Effectiveness at CIBC in Toronto where he leads the Business Management Office for one of CIBC’s largest technology divisions.
